Human Scars

About my friends, I used to know. We were close, had to let go. Seventeen, the world was really rough.

Not love themselves, just tough enough. Always friends, hardest stuff. Should have known, their gaze not fully grown.

Loved each other, close by heart. Never noticed, the darker parts. No words left, to say what they really missed.

About my friends now they have gone. We were close, but time moves on. Fussing parents, they came up with a plan.

Start all over, new world to play. Saved money, both ran away. Better life will make some better days.

Loved each other, close by heart. Never noticed, the darker parts. No words left, to say what they really missed. No way to mend the holes inside. The urge to find a place to hide. No eyes left to see how things could be fixed.

The more they seeked themselves the more they lost their heart. The more they reached the more their purpose fell apart. The more they gone through gathering the human scars.

About my friends who chose to run. We were close, look for the sun. They ran so far, to numb the hidden pain.

Fancy world to suppress the dark. Age-old need to fill the heart. At some point the world could fall apart.

They're lost in a universe, they were lost in stars.

The more they heard, the less they listened. The more they touched, less they were feeling. The more they looked, the less they saw. Gathering the human scars.

About my friends, I used to know. We were close, had to let go. And in the end, they're still in my heart.

The more they seeked themselves the more they lost their heart. The more they reached the more their purpose fell apart. They're lost in a universe, they were lost in stars.

The more they heard, the less they listened. The more they touched, less they were feeling. The more they looked, the less they saw. Gathering the human scars. The human scars.

About my friends, still in my heart. We were close, but had to part. Hope universe will kiss their scars.
